Peak
District Drive 9th April 2011
The day is aimed at being a relaxed day out driving fantastic roads, so the navigation will be very easy and there should be no time pressure to get anywhere in a hurry. Nothing special is needed in terms of the car, driver or passengers as there is no element of competition involved. Each car is provided with a set of directions detailing the suggested route with a map showing which roads are used. This allows each participant to go at their own pace or to follow along in a convoy.
Starting off in Meltham, at a Ferrari workshop where we will peruse a stunning collection of supercars in various states of build, we will then wind our way through Snake Pass and onto what many people regard as one of the best driving roads in the UK, taking in some stunning scenery along the way. We then stop off for some great pub grub, and afterwards it’s back to the amazing roads of the Peak District which will finally lead us to the Donington Collection. This is an exciting museum dedicated to grand prix cars from Matras to McLarens, and boasts some of the very latest F1 machinery.
The price is only £28 per person (cost for children tbc) for the day, including pub lunch, entry to the museum and all directions
